Winter graduation

Our 2025 winter graduations celebrated the fantastic achievements of our postgraduate taught and research students. Following the graduation ceremony in the Butterworth Hall, our new graduates joined members of the department for a lunch where special prizes were awarded to those who had excelled during their studies. Find out who won the prizes and see photos from the day.

A WMS love story

Lindsay and Daniel met at Warwick 20 years ago, studied medicine together, got married, and now live locally with their children. Peer teaching ignited Lindsay’s (BSc Biological Sciences with Molecular Genetics, 2007; MB ChB Medicine, 2011; MMedEd Medical Education, 2024) passion for education and she is now an Associate Clinical Professor at WMS, alongside her work as a GP. Daniel (BSc Biological Sciences with Molecular Genetics, 2006; MB CHB Medicine, 2010; PG Cert Health Sciences, 2015) is now a specialty registrar in occupational medicine.

International students share their experiences

One of the things our students often say they love about their time at WMS is the fantastic diversity of our community. We spoke to international students from our MB ChB, Master’s in Public Health, BSc Health and Medical Sciences and MSci Integrated Natural Sciences to find out how they’ve found the transition to life in the UK and to hear their tips for others considering studying abroad.

MB ChB students publish systematic review on Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport

MB ChB students Rosie and Louisa co-authored a systematic review on managing Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDs). Their research highlights that increasing energy intake is key and may be more effective with education and hormonal treatment. They share their insights with us.

Medical students take health checks into the community

WMS students have provided health checks to over 200 staff, students, and community members, with plans to expand into local communities. Professor Kate Owen explains that these clinics aim to identify health issues early in a neutral setting, promoting prevention before problems arise.
